We are excited to announce the publication of the Green2Grow Needs Analysis Report, a foundational document that explores the current state of sustainable tourism across Sicily, Bulgaria, and Cyprus. This in-depth analysis is a major milestone in our mission to support greener, more inclusive, and community-driven tourism development.

The report was produced through a collaborative effort by the Green2Grow partners and coordinated by Fondazione Comunitaria di Agrigento e Trapani. It draws on focus groups, stakeholder interviews, and local consultations carried out between March and May 2025, ensuring that the findings are rooted in real, on-the-ground insights.

What the report reveals:

  • Common challenges across the three regions, including fragmented governance, skill gaps, and limited funding access.

  • Territory-specific priorities, such as the need for stronger infrastructure in Cyprus, inter-municipal cooperation in Bulgaria, and digital innovation in Sicily.

  • A shared commitment to empowering Destination Management Organisations (DMOs), promoting eco-certification, and engaging local communities in shaping more sustainable and authentic tourism offers.

Why it matters:
The Needs Analysis serves as a strategic roadmap for the Green2Grow project and beyond. It offers actionable recommendations on governance, skills development, digital tools, funding, and community participation to help local tourism actors lead the green transition.
